Hi everyone, can anyone recommend a good source of wool jersey (solid colours and fairly lightweight and drapey) in the UK?
I’m based near Liverpool so have access to John Lewis (expensive and limited stock) and Abakhans but wondered if any could recommend any online suppliers?
Thanks so much!

Hi I am also in the uk, but haven’t had much luck sourcing here yet! I always seem to end up buying from the US! Even with shipping I seem to get better deals that way. will be interested to see if there is anything over here!
I have been compiling a list of jersey suppliers and so far has come up twith a few
www.fashionistafabrics.com has some purple wool jersey at about £10 and www.belraffabrics.com has some in red, grey or black at about £8. and trimfabric.com has some in a maroon colour for about the same
www.voguefabricsstore.com has some too, including a tourmaline green one for about £6. They all ship to the UK, but I have so far only bought anything from vogue and trim. I felt vogue’s shipping came in a bit high, so I’m not sure that was worth it, but if I recall right trimfabric worked out very well for me price wise (the fabrics I got were really great too).
Best wishes, Amy

Ooh, thanks for the recommendations – I’ve seen Vogue fabrics before but not the other two. Will definitely be having a look.
Have you ever been charged duty on your packages from the US?
Thanks for your really useful reply
