If a pattern says any fabric except knit, but recommends wool suiting, linen, cord; what things would I need to consider if I wanted to try it with a georgette?
The pattern is a trapeze dress/tunic.
Thanks

One thing that comes to my mind is that the suggested fabrics are quite heavy/stiff compared to georgette so you’ll probably get a different hang and lose some of the shaping with georgette

Since you are wanting to use a really light fabric, consider underlining it with a crisper fabric like shatung silk to provide more body for the georgette. That way, you get some stiffness to keep the style evident yet support the dress fabric.
