I’d like to make the halterneck dress )3/2013 #114. The pattern calls for viscose/rayon batiste, however, I can’t find batiste anywhere in the UK. What would be a suitable substitute?

Thanks for your help!

I might be wrong but I think you could use voile as a substitute.

Cotton lawn might do it- liberty has it but not sure if the designs would be what u want!

I was thinking of voile too. Amy Butler has some new fashion fabrics too, but I don’t know if you get those in the UK.

A fine cotton would work. I think it would look great in silk. It’d need to not be too stiff or thick a fabric due to the gathering on the bodice.
