I’m working on a burdastyle embroidered bodice (link here: http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/embriodered-bodice-plus-size-092011) and I’ve cut out the pattern and added seam allowances and I can’t get the upper center front pieces to match up to the center front and the center middle piece.

Should I also trace out the seam lines? Would those be the edges of the pattern pieces?

Read through all the cutting instructions carefully to make sure that the pattern doesn’t have seam allowances added already. If it does, mark these in on the pattern pieces VERY ACCURATELLY before you cut out the garment. Use these lines and a tracing wheel and dressmaker’s tracing paprt to mark the seam lines on the WRONG SIDE of the fabric pieces. Then make sure you match all notches FIRST and then match SEAM LINES and not the cut edges. :)
