So I have a class hourglass figure. I have a full bust, small ribcage and waist, and a big bum. I’m finding it hard to find things that i can make tight on my ribcage and still have room for by chest. I’m trying to work on pattern drafting based off of draping my dressform. Her waist is longer than mine, I mean there are a lot of problems.
Does anyone have any ideas on dressforms that might work better for me?

I have issues with dress forms do to narrow slightly forward shoulders, hollow chest, small rib cage, waist and FBA. Do not have the bum problem or length for waist (need for FBA length).
My dress forms are adjustable, I have a bra on my dress form that is heavily padded/stuffed for my 32 double D bust, put a leotard (cut off the crotch) over the dress form marked the areas with ribbon from shoulders, over the bust to the waist and other areas. Check this measurement guide imagine the measurement lines as ribbons on the torso of the dress form with your fitting issues:

Hope this is clearer than mud. Hoping others have more suggestions, I have never found a perfect dress form for all of my needs without having to use heavy padding in bust area.

1. A few years ago I came across My Twin Dressforms & Pantsforms. They make dress forms from your exact shape or you can buy their DVD and do it yourself. Expensive.
2. There is also Dress forms, Pattern fitting and Fashion Designing Online!! They have a few more options and are more affordable.
3. Uniquely You Dress Form. Preconstructed cover can easily be adjusted to your shape. The zippered cover compresses foam filling to your exact measurements. Several women can use the form since the dimensions can always be changed. Height adjustment on revolving base. Realistic adjustable bust string to obtain natural cleavage. The solution to long and shortwaisted sewing problems. Expensive but my favorite as you can change it as your shape fluctuates.
There are other options out there and I’m sure some of our members might have other suggestion.
Happy creating!

I have tricky figure too. I agree with sew4amy, those are all good options. I got luck and found a royal dress form on craigslist I currently have it oadded with batting and my bra. I plan on getting the Fabulous Fit system for it as soon as possible.
I thing your choice depends on whether or not you sew primarily for yourself or if you sew for others as well. If you sew for others, you will need something that can ne adjusted quickly.
After I researched when I was buying my dress form, I settled on two choices: Uniquely You or Fab Fit. I am going with Fab Fit.
