I am currently designing sandals for the Grandmothers and orphans of Malawi, Africa and I need some input. The materials I’m utilizing are old bicycle tires for the base of the sandal, yoga mats for the insole of the sandal and bicycle tire tubes for the straps of the sandal. I’ve made a few prototypes and now I’m trying to see about a flexible glue that will adhere the yoga mat to the bicycle tire. My goal is to come up with a very workable sandal for the growing need for foot wear for these lovely people.
