Hi I recently downloaded a trouser pattern, im trying to draft the waistband pieces that arent included and am struggling to make sense of what its asking me to do???

b) right waistband, 40-42-44-46-48cm (15 3/4-16 1/2-17 3/4-18 1/2-19ins) long, left waistband with 3cm (1 1/4in) underlap, 43-45-47-49-51cm (17-17 3/4-18 1/2-19 1/4-20 1/4 ins) long, each 6cm (2 1/2ins) wide, finished width 3cm (1 1/4ins)

If anyone would be kind enough to help me make sense of this i would greatly appreciate it!!

Thank you x

From what I understand although I didn’t make that pattern:

2 pieces, both are 6 cm wide. The first (right) piece is 40-48 cm long depending on your garment size. The second (left) piece is 43-51 cm long depending on your garment size. The left piece is 3 cm longer than the right, due to “3 cm underlap”.

The complete width of the waistband is 3 cm (probably the pieces are folded).
