There are several members’ patterns that I would love to try but they are only available to print on US Letter size paper and I can only use A4 size. Does anyone have any tips/advice on whether it is possible to do this or do I have to give up all hope of using these patterns?

I suggest the easy thing-trim the length of the A4 paper to 11 inches in length and download a simple pattern using the Letter size paper setting. I’m going to suggest you try a free pattern to see how the printing turns out-if there is minimal pattern loss, you probably then have a workable solution. Mind you, I have not downloaded any patterns as yet-the printer at home is not up to the task (it’s not really suitable for multiple-page print jobs).

Since the width of the A4 paper is slightly narrower than the US/Cdn size of 8-1/2" for letter paper, your printable area might need tweaking to maximize paper printing (aka reducing margins!).http://www.papersizes.org/a-paper-sizes.htm

The main problem is the width and most of these patterns use the full width of the paper. If there were margins to play with it would not be a problem. As it is, I cannot be sure exactly how much is missing from the sides of the paper especially when it comes to linking the sheets togethe
