Hello, a newbie to the forums here :)
So, I have this fabric. It seems like your standard cotton blend sweatshirt fabric. The fabric has been dyed, and the colour pattern goes vertical along the grain. However, it would look a lot better if the pattern were horizontal in the finished garment.
I’ve sewn a lot, but I’ve never tried sewing hoodies cross-grain. The fabric stretches both ways, a bit more perpendicular to the grain, like one would expect, but the hoodie would be very roomy anyways.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this.

Burda has a video class you can watch on grading up or down any size if you want to pay…
you can grade the pattern if you take the difference needed for the size you want….
