I am trying to make Burda pattern 7543 – handbag F.
Given that I am a complete novice, I am stuck when I have reached the instructions;
Sew seams at both sides (right side facing) – done
Turn inside out so right sides are now facing outwards – done
Trim seam allowance on top and bottom to 0.5cm – done
AND FINISH SEAMS TOGETHER – ?
Does anyone know what it means by finish seams together? Does this mean sew together? Because I’d have thought they would have just written sew….
It doesn’t make any sense to sew these parts at this point, because they are still not attached to the body of the bag yet.
I hope this question makes sense and I hope someone can help!!!
I would spread the hemline wider then the neckline though as it doesn’t look too gather…
Hi, boning would be good. You have a zip on the side so you only need boning in the sea…
Usually the facings need to be sewn together before the facing is sewn onto the garment…
There’s a burda member here that does that. Her profile is called sassy. it’s a picture…
If you pop up a window to the dress it will be easier to find :)
