Hi there, Im a novice sewer just getting into everything. I started with making a couple of corsets – apparently the most difficult to start with! However I would like to try other projects I can wear on a more daily basis so bought a couple of Burda magazines in the country where I live currently – the netherlands – my dutch is ok but Im not famliar enough with sewing terms in english to translate the instructions. Buying individual patterns and paying postage to NL is also more expensive…I am checking out the site now but was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of instructions in english?? Are these available?? So far I made a lovely little pencil skirt but the finish on the inside was improvised as I really had no clue how to attach a waistband to a skirt…! I’d like my other projects to be as neat as my corsets if possible =)

If you can find the pattern on the website (here) you might be able to download the instructions for free and print them off. Not all the BurdaStyle Magazine patterns are on-line (or else they would probably stop making the magazine), but you might get lucky! : )
