I’m working with Burda pattern 7171 and the instructions for the skirt are unclear.
I’m trying to cut out a size 10 skirt. The pieces needed are 15, 16, & 17.
Pattern piece 15 says to extend to 54 3/4" length.
Pattern piece 16 is on the same printout and says to extend to 48 1/2" length.
Pattern piece 17 is on a separate printout along with with piece 19 which is to be used for a larger size. Piece 17 says to extend to 50" length.
I believe the extending of each piece is to allow for the wide width needed to accommodate the pleats in the skirt.
The issue is that it’s hard to tell where each piece starts and finishes.
Are you suppose to use the entire printout piece for each of the three pattern pieces 15, 16, & 17 and lengthen each for the width stated above? Or are they to be cut out separately and then extended to the width stated?
I’m a pretty experienced sewer but this has me stumped and I could really use some clarification.
I hope someone can help, as I need to get this project done ASAP.

There is a transparent grid ruler you can use to add seam allowances.
