Can anyone more experienced maybe point me in the right direction on this? I’m having trouble figuring out how to handle the darts on the front panels of this shirt. I’ve never seen darts that stop in the middle – the fabric is cut away below the dart. In tracing out the pattern piece, do I add a seam allowance to the part that is cut away? Then, how do I sew this? From the line drawing it looks like the sewing line angles in on the dart, probably where the dart begins. What seam allowance should I use when I sew the cut away part? Is this where I’m not understanding if I need to add a seam allowance in this area? Here’s a picture of the pattern piece for easier viewing – hopefully I linked this right. Thanks in advance for any help you might have! https://picasaweb.google.com/montanasky07/Sewing?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCN7kwfPOjJ-NfA&feat=directlink
