I am making this beautiful jacket with its sequinned and zippered trims along with help from a dressmaker friend.
We cut it out according to my measurements, but we have had to take it in at least several sizes (lucky she made a toile – you can see she is making it and not really me) – that was OK.
The sleeve however was HUGE! We have cut 3 inches off its length and it still has a very generous seam allowance left. And taken in at least 2 inches at each seam (2 piece sleeve).
Have we done something wrong? Surely this beautiful jacket doesn’t have huge voluminous sleeves?
Thanks for the advice.
