Hello. I have a brother 546d overlocker and has stopped working. The power is fine but when I press down on the foot – nothing, just makes a werring noise. Was absolutely fine yesterday when I was using it but this morning this happened. Could this be a problem with the motor? Fortunately I was given this by a friend who had no use for it and I’m its 3rd owner – not sure how old it is. Has anyone had this problem? And any idea how much it would cost it I had to take it to be repaired or would it be horribly expensive.
