The needle bar keeps coming out of alignment on my sewing machine (I sew fast). I can get it back into position again, but it’s a bit annoying. I wonder if blue-tack would keep the screw that controls it in position permenantly?

No. The heat of the lamp and the actual sewing will soften it and it will gum up the machine. Take it in for servicing and repair.
