Just about finished making a dress that has no zipper. Tried it on and the back is too tight. Is there anyway to make/add some type of inverted pleat to give me some room to move my arms without having to take it all apart and start over? I do have some material left, but not enough to make a complete second back to the dress. (The top and skirt of the dress are separate pieces that I haven’t connected yet.). HELP!!!

Could you add some triangular inserts under the arms?

Is the entire back tight or just at the upper back/ shoulder blades area?

Never mind the question. I just reread and saw the the 2 piece dress. If the armscye is too tight then adding a gusset between the top side seams may help. If the tightness is at the shoulder blades check the shoulder slope.
