Does anyone have this pattern handy? I am trying in vain to understand step 25 (it is very similar to 20-22 here: (http://www.burdastyle.de/chameleon/outbox/public/3952c780-9a6d-74d8-11d2-cf49f17c866b/7084-Anl.pdf)
Why does this waistband seem so tiny? I can follow the photos for 23 and 24 (though 23 seems so small, like 8" long! – how is this going to lay right?) but 25 (or 22 in the linked example) has me stumped.
25: Baste bands right sides together with side waistband edges (seam number 11) .
Turn waistband out on fold line.
Stitch side edges together, catching in bands (25a). Turn waistband, baste inside edge at joining seam and stitch close to edge.
I gotta quit for the night. I can’t understand. Thank you!!!!
How many replies does this post need to be implimented? This is an awesome idea!
Burda has a video class you can watch on grading up or down any size if you want to pay…
you can grade the pattern if you take the difference needed for the size you want….
Thank you – I’ll have a look now.
