Hi there knowledgable burdastylers
I am making my first ever jascket, a trench style, and am using an old curtain. The fabric weight is most suitable for our Canadian fall and spring, but we get quite a bit of rain…my question is, does a spray exist that can be used on fabric to help it repel water?
much like the spray used for suede, am wondering if it can be applied to a cotton/poly blend, or if a similar product exists.

Take a look at the Nikwax products. You may find something that will make it shower resistant, but there’s no after-market treatment that will make clothing fully waterproof.
