I’m drafting my fitted knit top pattern and I can’t understand – do the front and back pieces have the same curve along the armhole (with a symmetric sleeve pattern?)?

No the curve at front and back are not the same. The scye or curve at the front is more pronounced whereas the curve at the back is less concave to accomodate the shoulder. The only other way I can explain is to sit down and run your finger around your opposite shoulder line and you will understand the difference.. I hope this is useful ! So therefore the sleeve is not symmetrical !

Thanks! I’ll try to draft the sleeves (and armholes) according to “woven” instructions, I hope I’ll eventually achieve a nice results.

Take an old t-shirt apart and study the shoulder.
