Hi! I’m making me wedding dress and I have this beautiful lace to sew on-but it is on this flyscreen type fabric which I don"t want. So I had an idea to cut off the beaded peices of lace and re-sew them onto some chiffon which I can then add to the dress by hand?
I’ve never worked with such expensive fine beaded lace before, so no idea what’s best. Any ideas on how to do it?

maybe try a search “sew lace applique”.
One problem you might encounter would be the lace applique being heavy when you sew it onto the dress. So look at some bridal dress photos and see where the lace appliques are usually sew onto. If you put them around the hem them they need to be supported somehow otherwise they will sag.

Agree with mickey about weight of beaded lace.
Do you want to cut out motifs? Almost all sewing books (especially old ones) have sections on cutting out lace motifs and laces. It is not hard to do but since we are visual pictures make it easier. You have to leave a little mesh flyscreen trim after sewing to dress or fold under motif when sewing.
I found this scroll down 3/4 of page could not find others with pictures: http://www.leenas.com/English/sew_camisole.html
