Mine has at last packed up and died so I am on the market for a new steam iron. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences that they would like to share which may help guide me in buying a new one?
Thanks you in advance!

Rowenta is bad they leak Velocity seam generator is great and splurge for the $130 model way better than the $99 model.

Hi kr177,
I have a nice travel steam iron from Kenwood. It cost only about £13.99 and it’s small and lightweight. Plus, when you’ve finished, you can just wrap it up and put it in a drawer!

I recently bought a Tefal steam generator and, if you can afford it, they are fantastic. Clothes now appear neatly pressed with just a light iron. Even my husband loves it, and he now goes to work looking like his wife irons for him (which I don’t!).
Otherwise, I’ve found Tefal to be good, but Braun (cheaper) even better – lighter weight and hotter. Not even sure if these brands are available for you (Rowenta and Velocity aren’t available here).
