None that I have found. I use Wild Ginger on a virtual drive on my Mac that runs on Windows. Works perfectly.

hi Kate, are you using Wild Ginger’s Cameo or PatternMaster software?

I’ve used Parallels on my Mac, and have never been very happy about the results. The best thing is to install Windows in a partition and reboot your Mac as a Windows machine – that works very well. Regarding software for the Mac, I know of fairly expensive CAD-like software for pattern manipulation for the Mac, but nothing comparable to Wild Ginger on the low cost end.

The few mac based pattern making CAD programs are out of the reach financially for the home sewer. If your a student I think you can get an academic version of PADsystem. When I took computer pattern making back in 2003 thats what we used. It’s not a bad program but the course was taught by a tried and true gerber user and was always comparing it to that.
They have a free trial I think.

The other problem apart from price with the professional systems is your going to need access to a plotter. They won’t do tiled printing though I think there is a work around using Autocad.
If you live near a Tukacenter then thats an option for both plotting and using their workstations.
