Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to make this headband?

I want it to be out of chiffon or something similar that is not stretchy and I also do not want to add elastic at the back, because it is so chunky it is hard, i dont really want a big fat knot either, I’d like it as seamless as possible! Ive thought of sewing the ends of the braid and attatching self fabric ties but i dont know, ideas would be nice :)

    I think the easiest way to get that look is toy use a couple of layers of the chiffon wrapped round the sponge sausages you get for making plaited tie-backs.

    Sewing a tie to the back sounds like the best way to finish it off.
