Burda Style For people who sew

Hi,

I was wondering if somebody could please tell me how I can achieve the bit that goes around the waist on the following link ?

I have been trying and trying but I can’t firgure out how to make it look like that !

    That is a Victoria Secret Site, with many pictures of very little bits around waists, can you pin point the item, find a better link??

  I have been doing more googling and I think I’m more after the ruche look which looks a bit more loose, maybe gathered ? whereas the cummerbund is very straight.

  Do you know how to ruche ?

    Ruching and Gathering are very similar on a cummerbund.
    This is a very poor picture hope some can find a better one if I can will post later!!

    I have made them many times put stays or boning where it is gathered or ruched it supports the cummerbunds (keeps them in place) and also line them if needed.
