I’ve just received an email from Burdastyle offering the online sewing course for half price. I’m quite tempted! Had anyone done it? Can you recommend it? Thanks!

i like to have a lesson on sewing, and if i can’t be at a place where they teach them, might as well try the online way. but most of the lessons are on a recorded video that will be sent to you, so if you have immediate questions, you’d have to email them and wait for a response, which is a bummer, for real. It’s good to learn online especially if you don’t have time to attend a real life sewing course or class. At least you can do it on your free time when it’s an online class. And if you have the money, why not. I will be doing it when I have the finance available.

I attend an online college for fashion design, and its not bad to work from videos but the waiting for help can be frusrating. Depending on the cost of the class it might be worth it for you.

www.patternreview.com also has ongoing sewing classes with live chats, info you can print out, etc.

gentlegemdesignes – may I ask what online college did you go through? I’m interested in doing an online course as well.
