Drafting or Draping a complex bridal gown skirt

My latest project is to make a custom wedding gown and I saw one that I like the skirt part of but am trying to figure out how to make it. My thoughts are to cut an aline or ballgown skirt and drape it on the mannequin until I get a look a like. The only concern is the lack of fullness at the hip seems to suggest that the pattern isn’t either of these but possibly triangular shaped.
