You need to come over and join us on the corset maker group on Live Journal. http://community.livejournal.com/corsetmakers/
I’d also advise buying this book and starting with one of the corsets mentioned in it. The Basics of Corset Building: A Handbook for Beginners by Linda Sparks.
There are no short cuts to a corset.

Threadbanger.com also has a tutorial. And I have this page bookmarked http://lolitainwonderland-incandyparadise.aceboard.com/241970-6224-6964-0-Corset-Tutorial-ingles.htm

I found this website on a search for corset making, I found it really interesting and helpful. It did look pretty easy (after reading it through a few times!)

Hi Churpina, I make the odd corset or two so if you are ever stuck you can PM me.
KateXXXXXX: I have read mixed reviews of the Linda Spark’s book, do you think that is is worth a purchase? Also does it have anything in it about flossing??

Not much on flossing. It’s a detailed set of instructions for a basic Victorian corset. Worth the dosh for someone just starting on this type of corset. It gives the hows and whyfores very plainly. For more detail on how corsets get constructed, come and join the LJ group mentioned above. Read the memories, and go back through the posts. There’s a huge amount of expertise there. Ignore recent flame wars, and avoid repeating questions answered in great detail by reading the archives.

Thanks a lot Kate XXXXXX. All I seem to make these days are corsets but I have never tried flossing as my hand-work skills are non-existant g K xx
