Hi,
I’m hoping to make some 3d letter cushions for my little boy’s room.

The style is more box than just a stuffed cushion, like this http://sewandthecity.blogspot.com/2011/06/love-letter.html

However, I’m so stuck on how to make the letter inside out and then be able to turn it the right way, especially on letters like A and O. I just can’t visualise it or think of any technique that might work.

I’m hoping one of you guys might be able to help perhaps?
I’m sooo stuck but would love to give it a try.

Thank you in advance.

Heather

Maybe make them the right side out and use a funky/contrasting coloured thread so you make a feature of the visible stitching?

I also liked the idea of 3D letter cushion. So, this week I am going to try my hand to decorate my drawing room sofa………..

make your letter patterns like you read. When you cut the fabric, fold the wrong sides of the fabric together. Put the pattern on the fabric like you read it.

When you sew put the right sides together. the letters should be backwards. When you turn it inside out – it will be good to read.
