The place to chatter about the sew along for Project Runway’s Red Carpet Challenge. Talk about your inspirations, possible pattern choices, a special fabric you’re looking forward to working with, whatever you think is fun. OK, since I really wanted a thread for this topic I’ll go first. After much more than 30 mins of sketching I’m thinking something short and a little sassy for the red carpet challenge. I’d like to incorporate some ruffles but in a way that’s not too 80’s or little girls dresses. Also using this challenge as a reason to buy some silk shantung I’ve had my eye on for a couple of days. This is pretty exciting!

Crap! hit the wrong button. Sorry oscarthegrouch I was trying to reply instead. Right now the plan is just to dust off my design skills. Not sure what I’ll do with the finished dress.

I’d forgotten how much of a pain in the backside making multiple muslin is. How do those contestants get something that fits in a day and a half?
