Burdastyle really needs to add ‘costume’ as a possible category for projects. I’ve just added a Renaissance dress project, but there wasn’t really an accurate category to put it under. Sure, both ‘geek’ and ‘romantic’ apply to an extent, and it is really really vintage, but why isn’t there a full category for costumes? There’s always Halloween costumes each year, and with so many comic/sci-fi/etc conventions on, plus many people into Renaissance and other historical re-creation, there are lots of people who sew because they make these costumes and there really is a need for a place for these projects to be put under. There’s already Steampunk, so why not add a general category? I’m sure lots of people would make use of it.
