To Whom it may Concern:
Now, almost every time I go from one page to another, I have to wait for 10 minutes or more while some ad pops up on my screen then finally goes to the page I was seeking.
I have stopped using BurdaStyle because this site was already slow in loading, now I’ve got these ads taking up even more of my time. It’s just not worth it to view BurdaStyle.com anymore. I used to visit almost daily, now I use it much more rarely.
Please streamline your site for speed and remove Zwinky adds between pages. It is really annoying. I will not, now or ever, pay for little digital cartoon characters so it is pointless advertising them to me anyway! If you must advertise…I realize that’s reality…find another way to do so, and at least make the ads relevant. Don’t let the adds slow down use of the site for those of us with limited time to use it anyway.

We will totally report your concern to our ad network. That stinks and we hate that you are using the site less because of it!

Hi Fabricitis, it’s a shame ads will keep you away from our wonderful community, have you considered using firefox as your browser then adding on Ad Block Plus, I use these and never see any ads, in fact they do not load at all, it’s pure bliss.
Here’s is a link to a recent discussion, there are a few other tips that members have shared, they might help you too:

i recently ran a full scan of my computer through my anti-virus (Norton) and 10 tracking cookies popped up. since i removed those, i dont see as many of the irrelevant full page ads as i used to. maybe this has something to do with it?
i understand that these ads are a necessary evil, but can they at least be relevant to sewing? heck even broader crafting, or clothing even? it’s either Zwinky, car insurance quotes, or Jack in the Box……not even close to the content of this site.

Originally I got ModCloth and similar fashion/sewing related ads but then I was seeing ads about how fat my bum & hips/things must be so I needed to buy some pill or something, it was actually pretty disturbing for me to see that kind of ad on a site which I think should be promoting positive body image… :(
I never bothered to block them until these new ads started because I do like the ModCloth website for ideas and inspiration but I just can’t handle the other ads, now I block them completely, missing out on anything relevant.

exactly! i wouldn’t mind seeing a full page modcloth ad….heck i may not even click the “skip ad” button as quickly/frantically. but as soon as i see that stupid cartoon image i’m clicking to get it off my screen.
