Why the fkk is there TWO different (!!) communities on burdastyle? One german and one “english”? Im swedish, but always buy the german burdastyle, but a member of burdastyle.com community. Just think its sad that Burdastyle has seperated them two….buhhuu Why dont Burdastyle do as facebook, have same sites just translated, so we can also share German speaking DIYers ideas!

And if it’s a language barrier thing, I would guess that it’s a sign that the germans really need to practise their english! I’m swedish too, there are loads of us from all over the world who speak and write less than perfect english here, you don’t have to be a native speaker, this site is about sewing! I feel a bit sad for the germans since they will become more isolated this way…

I don’t want to become an isolated German – I’ll just stay here ; )
An international site is definitely better!

well, I actually am german and I don’t feel isolated by any means! It’s only that we have two sites to go to. But it’s not only us with this opportunity, the burdastyle site comes in many languages so none of us misses a thing, I guess. :)

I might be completely wrong here, but I think it’s the old Burdafashion website that’s changed/been renamed for the German version. Nothing to do with “our” Burdastyle, except the same owners. It’s the site where you can see previews of BWF, buy Burda patterns etc.

Thats what I thought too and it is linked to the other language pages of Burda fashion, I do think it a shame that they haven’t revamped ALL the BF sites not just the German one.

The Germans have taken over. Soon they’ll migrate the neutral Belgian sewing websites, and keep servers in Poland.
(poor taste? maybe. sorry in advance).
