Burda Style For people who sew

Hello everyone,

I’ve just set up a new sewing club in Liverpool and we had our first meeting last Monday the 14th september, there were 7 of us there nad we had a great time – meeting new people, chatting about our sewing and how we got started and we also got some sewing done! :-D

We are advertsiing our club with teh folowing tag line – A sewing club for people of all abilities, including show & tell, problem solving, inspiration and general sewing fun and of course a good old fashioned natter over a cuppa! :-D

We are planning on meeting the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month – so our next meeting is planned for the 28th september. Please feel free to pop along, we meet at the Next to Nowhere social center at the top of Bold Street 6pm to 9pm. We have a ning page:

  hello again, sorry i forgot to update this thread – oops!

  We’ve had a few meetings now and our next one is tomorrow – Monday the 26th October, 6 till 9pm @ the Next to Nowhere Social Center, 96 Bold Street.

  Please feel free to come along, bring whatever your working on, or just come along for a chat, brew and some biccies! :-)

  Glad to hear you’re taking up sewing, hope the bag goes well! Also glad to hear you fancy joining us. Our next meeting will be on the 14th of December, then we’re gonna take a break for Christmas and the following meeting will be the 11th January. Hope to see you at one of these. :-)

  Hi Beth, I would have been able to come to the one on 14th December but i’ve got a family thing that night, that’s what happens when your dad lives in bloody London! ha. In January i’m working in Bolton, but hopefully i’ll be back in Liverpool for 6, i’ll try my best to make it to that one! It sounds like a good club! Where abouts is it on Bold Street?   Don’t worry if ur a bit later than 6pm! It’s up the top of Bold Street, Neft to the News from Nowhere Bookshop & opposite Yums Buffet Restuarant. Hope u have s mice Christmas & new year, c u in January :-)

  And again I’ve been relaly bad on keeping this upto date! The Liverpool sewing club is still going well, so thought I’d pop on a reminder with the dates for this year:

  The Liverpool Sewing Club runs on the 2nd and the 4th Monday of the month. Therefore the dates for 2011 are as follows:

  10th & 24th January,

  14th & 28th February,

  14th & 28th March,

  11th April,

  9th & 23rd May,

  13th & 27th June,

  11th & 25th July

  8th & 22nd August,

  12th & 26th September,

  10th & 24th October,

  14th & 28th November,

  12th December

  There is no sewing club on the 4th Monday of the month in April as the 25th April is Easter Monday and the same applies for December as it’s the 26th December – Boxing Day.

  Liverpool Sewing Club is still going well and we now have new premesis – from the 22nd August we will be meeting in the DoES Liverpool space in the Gostings Building on Hanover Street.

  We are now meeting on the 1st and the 3rd Monday of the month.

  This means that the next meeting will be the 17th October
