I downloaded the Karen cardigan and the Yoga pants. As usual (unfortunately for the less experienced) the instructions leave almost everything to be desired, but ho hum… Never mind, it’s not as if I usually read the instructions anyway! And you don’t get ANY when you draw you own patterns!
Lurking in my stash for many years has been this nice brown and black marled poly/Lycra velour, and I thought I could make a nice casual suit like pairing of these two garments for working in. Given that I usually work at home, and when I don’t I STILL end up crawling on the floor, climbing ladders, or lolling on stairs to pin up hems, something soft and comfy and tidy is a good thing.
For the cardigan I’m going to experiment with a serged finish rather than turning up a hem. I’m still debating with myself about the tie belt. I tend to lose them… And the yoga pants will get elastic rather than a drawstring. I’m thinking of using a single layer for the yoke section and finishing the waistband with a wide elastic turned to the inside.

Making something for your self, what an indulgence! :) I have a stack of things to make for me including some light summer dresses as the temps are already topping 30C but the girls alwys seem to bumb my things down the list. Love the changes you are planning looking forward to seeing them, something to inspire for next winter.

Wish I had the time to sew for myself. I have about 8 years worth of BWOF mags with wee sticky notes attached with the things I would like to make and a growing pile of vintage patterns that I had to have. Think that they should make more hours in the day :)
Your garments sound fab. Am looking forward to seeing them finshed :)

I have HUNDREDS of patterns that have a mental ‘One day… ’ sticky on them! And you do not want to see the piles of fabric waiting for those projects, really you don’t.
These are going to be my winter Live In PJ’s type things. :)
