Burda Style For people who sew
I have a dress with printed stretch fabric, that has faded some what…. its a wonderful cut and I would still like to keep it. I was thinking of dyeing it to give it somelife.
What sort of dye should one use and what are the pro’s and cons of dyeing ready made clothing?

I also have 2 dresses that I find are a bit short, i would like them to come over the knee…. Any suggestions on lengthening dresses?

depending on the style of the dresses you could make a false hem or for more length add a contrasting band to the bottom.

The contrasting band sounds like a good idea, the one dress is like a thickish cotton and its red so perhaps a navy contrasting band? What you think?
