looking for patterns for sleepwear and casual shirts that will provide comfortable breast support At DD it is uncomfortable to sleep braless but the extra layer is also uncomfortable .
? my first thought was halter but I would prefer more of an empire style that would allow a pattern to be made slevelesss for summer wear and with sleves for winter wear. ( sp ? )
also would be interested in sleep or casual tops with shelf bras

free patterns would be nice but not essential

just got a new sewing machine and serger and itching to put them to use for items I can not seem to find to buy

2 of the patterns have sizes for a D cup thought the one on the right (M4848) could be a top or sleepwear, may have to do a slight FBA to get DD. http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/activewear-pages-118.php. Good luck with new machines.

Will have to check my Burda Style issues to see if I can recommend a particular issue for you to find to buy. November issues used to do a lingerie/sleepwear section. The best issue stylewise I thought was BurdaStyle November 2001 (regular sizes but hey, you could modify patterns-you sew!—to suit your needs) because they seemed a bit glamourous. Nightgown 134 in particular would be a style to check out-not Empire but two separate panels for top sections that join to body of gown. Probably you want to use some stretch cotton knit to see if you can get some support.

Have yet to make any of the patterns but mean to give myself a gown soon because the stores don’t sell nice and warm and stylish sleepwear. Plenty of show and freeze styles and fabric that does not justify the price tags.
