Why am I not able to see all of the pictures in the “Projects” tab? Quite a few of them have a little red x in the upper left corner. I can only see some of them.

I have this problem on many pages of the Burda website (using RISC OS browser Netsurf). It has been known to happen on other sites too.
In my experience it’s often a sign that the site in question is serving up pictures with the incorrect filetype, e.g. an image is really a GIF but the server is passing information to the browser that it is of type JPEG. Many Windows browsers ignore the filetype information (I believe Windows doesn’t really have the concept of ‘filetype’ and just go by the name of the file, i.e. if the file is called ‘minnow.gif’ they will attempt to render it as a GIF even if the server information is telling them that it’s a JPEG.
Browsers that treat filetypes more strictly have a problem with this sort of thing :-(
