so, before the “big switch” i had downloaded the pattern for user RE3ECCA’s lovely orange funnel neck top. now it is no longer in my download area on my profile. i also couldn’t even find it in the pattern’s section. when i finally remembered what the creation was called, i searched for it, found it, and clicked to download the instructions…but all i got was a pdf version of the project page.
i’m so bummed because i REALLY want to make this and i have no idea where the pattern has gone to.
and while we’re at it…anyone know how to retrieve messages in the new layout? i had sent and received messages from users and i cannot for the life of me figure out where they are…bummer.
thanks for the help!

Your messages are gone but I found out the old site is still online on old.burdastyle.com so you can log in there and save them.

I don’t know how you send/receive messages in the new site…but I too wanted to make RE3ECCA’s funnel neck jacket. I have the pattern, but no instructions!

well, i went to the old site and re-downloaded the jacket pattern (this time saved it to my computer), but i don’t think there ever were instructions. i contacted re3ecca about this but got no response. perhaps you can give it a try!
i’m not THAT confident in my abilities to put it together without instructions but i may try if i’m desperate enough! it’s just so darn cute and i want to have it ready for the fall weather! (even though in portland i’ll most likely have a rain coat over it!)

Hey everyone we are addressing the missing patterns issues. As for the messages, you can go to the member’s profile and under the “more about” box there is a contact member button

OK, I went back to be sure. About RE3ECCA’s jacket pattern, there are no instructions, other than the ones to be found on the pattern pieces. It looks as if she has dropped off for a while. As have so many others. ;( Remember, the old site shuts down on Sept.31 (or so the banner read-I KNOW there are only 30 days…) so get your back-ups before they are gone for good. I haven’t yet read any hint of the original site being archived. Guess we will have to build our own archives. I’m trying to save and check the How-to link numbers to see if they have been changed.
