Burda Style For people who sew
I just spent the past 4 hours trying to download the pattern for Pete #BS-001 over and over again. It eitrher doesn’t download at all or when it actually does download, the PDF doesn’t appear at all. I have the latest version of Adobe Reader and Windows Internet Explorer…..WHY won’t some of my downloads work?

Hey RedSoxtober, I’m sorry! that sounds really frustrating. I will try and trouble shoot this issue for you. Is it still happening? are you using a PC or Mac? Which version of internet explorer are you using?

I’m using PC (Windows XP) and have Internet Explorer 8. I also have Adobe Reader 8.
Well, I just tried to download the pattern again just now and it’s still not working.

Hi, I bought the legging pattern on my iphone (from which I can’t print). I planned on using my work computer today to access the pattern and print it out but I don’t see any place on website to access the pattern I paid for.

go to you profile by clicking on your name and then go to the “my account” tab, from there click on purchased patterns and you will see the leggings, then all you have to do is download them!

Just go to your wall and go under “My Account” then choose “Purchase History” and you will find all of your purchase library there. If you still have issue please let us know. Happy Sewing!

I tried downloading a few more times and a few other patterns and still no luck….

hmmmmmm, that really frustrating and odd. Try clicking save as instead of open, if that doesn’t work we will move in the big guns!
Can you tell me step by step what you do so that I can try and recreate the problem?

Since the patterns are already in my purchase history, I just click on ‘Print Pattern at Home’. Ever since this website changed the “Open or Save” option doesn’t pop up. What usually happens is the PDF will open in a new tab in my browser instead of opening in the Adobe Reader program window. After it dowloads I click on the “Save” icon. I never had a problem downloading patterns before the website changed.
PS I accidently clicked the lightning bolt. I though it was a part of the ‘Reply’ button. My apologies for that.

I forgot to add that it just says “Dowloading from site: http://burdastyle-5.s3.amazonaws.com/patterns/print_at_homes/000/000/041/BS-001_Pete_TShirt_Print_at_home_original.pdf?1242247527” instead of showing how many KB of KB have been downloaded.
Could it it be a problem with the link?

I have the same problem as RedSoxtober. cant seem to download pattern for Pete #BS-001, I got a error message from adobe after a while saying “The file is damaged and could not be repaired”

This will be my first time downloading a pattern. I use a Mac with OS X and I use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. Will this be a problem when I try to download a pattern? I really don’t care for Internet Explorer.

There are some free patterns, try one of them first to find out if it works. I use Firefox with Windows and never had a problem with downloads on this site.
