Burda Style For people who sew

Ever since I joined I’ve had trouble finding the plus size patterns in the collection… I know they are there, but when I search, I get two or three dresses and that’s about it.

Any chance of a sizes filter on the left hand side bar of the site?

I keep thinking that surely it’s something they have in development… but years later, no change.

Please help!

  i was just doing the same thing! they need a search option for size as well as style and material. it would make my life so much easier!

  How about if we complied a list of all the plus patterns, post it here, then they could be searched for by either name or number. Do it ourselves if no one is prepared to answer or help? Its been 6 months since OP first asked her question.

  well it seems you can’t search for a magazine pattern by its number. I went through all the patterns noting the plus ones, but testing shows that if you search for caftan pattern no 136 if cannot be found. So I guess it would be pointless putting up a list of the more recent ones. The older patterns have names which can be searched for. Fatina plus, Amanda plus Kristen plus francesca sarah (upto 48) Janina (trousers) liz blouse (upto 48) nora plus Kathrine plus Nadine plus Natalie Nancy coat Margot jeans Shakira dress Shari dress Desira top Anda Alexis wiesn dirndl Paola plus. Member thunderlily has also posted some patterns in a US 16 which may be useful to some people.

  Victors has mentioned probably all of the patters I have come across for the plus size gal. Another user on here told me that Burda do a plus size magazine and it comes out 4 times a year! While this is helpful for us all to know, do they think we only sit at the sewing machine 4 times a year??… Are we ‘’to fat’’ to get around to spending hours perfecting our projects? ( Burda need to sort it out) I would suggest this…. give up looking for the ‘’plus size’’ section as you won’t find anything dedicated especially for us and if you do your lucky! Pick out what you like from all the patterns on show and grade up that bad boy up to your lovey plus sized figure :D . Good luck
