I have the same problem, it’s very annoying! I use blogger too, but that shouldn’t be the problem, or is it? My blog url is: http://ancien-nouveau.blogspot.com/ I look forward to an answer to this one, I’d love to be able to link to my blog :-).

I had that kind of problem when I wanted to put my website address onto my profile.
In the ‘My Account’ section under the sewing machine info I could put my web address in the second box for the url, but I couldn’t add the website name in the first box. It keeps rejecting anything I type.
You could add you blog name and address to your ‘About me’ section like I did. At the end of my info I added this code:
< a target=“_blank” href=“http://yourwebaddress.com/”>Whatever text you want for the link here< /a>
Just take out the space between the bracket ‘<’ and ‘a target’. Also take out the space between the bracket ‘<’ and ‘/a>’
I hope I got what you meant right and helped a bit.

Thanks for posting a code that actually works, I tried the code that burdastyle has written as an example when you post projects, and it does not work.
They actually helped me insert the link, but they put it in my description-text, not where it should be, I wonder if they can’t get it to work in the correct place either? Hm.

I tried you code on in my projectdescriptions, like this:
Also blogged about < a target=“_blank” href=“http://ancien-nouveau.blogspot.com/2009/11/file-upload.html/”>HERE</ a>
I added speces according to your method above to show the text here.
The link works, but when you click it you end up with this in the browser:
http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/i-can-t-wait-for-summer-top/%E2%80%9Chttp://ancien-nouveau.blogspot.com/2009/11/file-upload.html/%E2%80%9D
Double adresses… do you have any idea why?
Maybe I should have used the Burdastyle-suggested code there?
I’m not a fan of this code-typing-process required to add links… :-(

That’s weird. Maybe if you only put: http://ancien-nouveau.blogspot.com/ as your web address it might work.
I looked at your profile and the link you put in works fine, I don’t end up with that address in the browser.
Also target=“_blank” doesn’t have to be in the code, it just means that a new browser window will open up with the link. If you take it out it just means that the link will open in the same page.
Haha, yeh it would be so much easier if the website thing in the profile just worked. I haven’t tried it for a while, don’t know if they’ve fixed it yet.

No, I’m having the same problem… I’m on blog.cz, which is, from the US point of view, completely obscure. :-) It doesn’t accept the URL, nor the website title (it’s probably interconnected). http://marmota-b.blog.cz

I would use Roxyl ’s the method, because a lot of fun.If you who do not believe it really could not work, please click the link in about me .

Hiya, just had a look at your profile and you’ve got the code a little wrong.
< a target=“_blank” href=“http://knittinggirl1.blogspot.com/”>My Blog< /a>
You could copy and paste this, just take out the space between ‘<’ and ‘a target’, also the space between ‘<’ and ‘/a>’

I wonder if anyone else is having issues updating their profile page? Everything on the form after country selection (e.g. birthday, gender, sewing machine, site/blog URL, etc.) does not work for me. Anything I type in those fields don’t appear after I click on the “update” button. I’ve tried this with 3 different browsers btw.

I do hope the support-team solve this, I’d MUCH prefer my website-link to be in the correct place instead of in my description text, it’s not very visible as it is now, and I think it’s a bonus if all member-profiles follow the same system, ie links to etsy and websites in the same places. Hoping for progress!
