I am in Leeds since 2009, so quite new in Yorkshire as well. Just logged in here for the first time. Would be interested in sharing ideas over a nice coffee! I may have to bring my baby (9 month old) along, if you don’t mind;-)

I’m Leeds too and it would be fun to get together with other sewists. I don’t know any others in the real world!

Just a thought related to fabric printed/created for the Diamond Jubilee in the UK-is the Leeds BSC using such fabric for any Burda sewing projects? I know the fabric is pricey but heard from friend that textiles are produced in years of Royal weddings, etc.

Great idea, I am in Northumberland so wrong side of the country. I am also new site and a newish sewer so it is all sewing step one and unpicking step two.
I hope you do manage a meet up.

Hello- just tried to post and I can sign in with Facebook but it hasnt gone through yet. Try googling for classes and exhibitions and go to some when it is not too freezing and start talking to others there. There are government run workshops expos and also classes in all sorts of art and craft in the city. I am not in UK and the temperature here is mid 30cs so I am staying inside in the cool. What are you working on at the moment? Catherien shellytabby1 Melbourne Australia.
