I was looking for the lesley circle skirt how-to on the new site but cant find it?? other things are missing too! will this be updated?! or will it disappear with the old website?

    Yeah, it wiped all the patterns I’ve uploaded and all the content of my creations. Should I re-upload them or will they show up sometime soon?

    In a related comment, I’ve always enjoyed looking through the countless dresses created by other members for inspiration (they’re amazing!) but now there are only 134 to look through, and none of which were on the old site. I was just wondering why this is?

      I noticed that my dress was also not listed under dresses. After I edited it, it could be found under that category. Seems like every member has to edit their creations therefore they appear in the matching category. Or is there an easier way?

    I guess there are still minor problems with transfering the content from the old site. I am also missing projects, techniques… It seems that we have to be more patient and I am sure there was a reply to this if you are willing to explore the thread.

    Hi, would be possible for you to go to the old site old.burdastyle.com and copy the URL of what is missing? We can forward this to our developers and it would very much speed up the bug hunting.

      Ooops, and another question. What do we do with our old and missing creations? Shall we upload them here ourselves or it shall be done by the support staff at BS? I wouldn’t really opt for us uploading our creations because I like the order they appeared on at the site. Yes, I would like to keep the chronological thread… Can you please advise us on this?

    There are so many techniques missing. On the old page we had more than 500 and here it’s only around 250. Maybe the same thing happened to those techniques that happened to mine. Mine is now under the projects and not the technique category. Here is the url http://old.burdastyle.com/howtos/show/286. Please add this to the techniques.

    Hi everyone,

    we are starting today to go through every single pattern and technique, basically we are doing an inventory list.

    Please note that some of the former How Tos are now under Projects, since they are garments/objects that you can make from the beginning to the end. Techniques are now solely techniques, basically tips and tricks that help your sewing skills improve. Anything you can make, with or without pattern (if without it’s with step-by-step instructions) is under Projects.

    So far, no one needs to re-upload anything, and we want to avoid that, but rather make sure the missing items will be transfered.

    PS All user’s who uploaded under ‘How Tos’ something that now qualifies for ‘Projects’ will receive an email. These are over 200! That explains why people can’t find so many Techniques. They are not missing, but can be found now under Projects.

    So, is there an easy way to view only how-to style “Projects?”

    The best I can come up with is to select “projects you can make” AND “by members,” but that still includes member uploaded patterns (not how-tos), which I’m not interested in. There’s no way to tell the difference without opening the project.

    I made over 100 bookmarks in the user creation part of the PROJECTS SECTION last night only to notice rather dismayed that all pdf instructions are missing. Are these going to be reloaded soon? I understand that things are being moved to the projects section eventually, but untill then? Where are all the user instructions?

      Hi,

      I don’t understand – can you tell me where the PDF instructions are missing?

      In the project section are many projects that don’t have instructions. But I assume that you marked the ones that had instructions? Right? When did they have instructions? Do you have examples, URLs?

So long as the Team does not object and the need is “yesterday” or you are the one who posted the how-to or pattern, (cheesh-can I add any more qualifiers??) I will e-mail it to you.     Please read this before contacting me: I have just tried to open all of the pre-beta how-tos and not one will open except the very few where I took screen shots, like Lesley. I apologize. Now, when will we be able to access these or are they permanently useless? I am going to dig out a disk which had some on there. Perhaps those are still usable. I doubt it, though. Nuts, when will the techs get the show on the road? Nehmah, who isn’t feeling any love tonight!
