So, I am a sewing newb. I don’t know absolutely anything about sewing. My first step is to find a sewing machine. I don’t want to pay too much (less than 150) and I’m thinking of finding a used one on craigslist. What are some of yalls thoughts on this and which brand should I go with? I should probably throw in that I am only looking to make my own dresses and skirts…nothing too fancy! =) Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thank you and God bless!

I bought mine from sears. It was only 80 bucks when I purchased mine though…It’s not fancy, but it works! I saved my “sewing machine fund” for a serger, which is really cool to have if you plan on making a lot of clothes.
Here’s my pretty little blue sewing machine! http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_02011206000P?keyword=sewing+machine&prdNo=3&blockNo=3&blockType=G3
