Hi All,
I was just wondering if there was anyone from Glasgow that fancied getting together for a BSC? I know that there is one in Edinburgh but the west coast doesn’t seem to have anything. Don’t know that many people that sew much here.

It stands for Burdastyle Club. You can go here to the BSC website to find one in your area.

Have you started the BSC in Glasgow? I am a BS newbie but VERY keen, and have a very good friend who would be the same. If you have/ want to what do you plan to do at it? Is it an idea, share, brainstorm talk endlessly about beautiful things we can create thype of thing?

I think that it would be but no one seemed to be very keen. I know a couple of people that would probably do it too. Maybe we should do something? I am always keen for things to motivate me :) xx

Hi there!
I am moving to Glasgow in August or September and I would love to be involved! I am currently a member of BSC East London which is really fun. I am really happy to help in setting one up with you guys! Rosie

Hi Rosie, I have just mailed Burdastyle to get the starter pack. I am going to look for a good central venue this weekend, so things are going well. You can mail me through my website contact form (see my profile ID for the address) and I’ll give you my contact details. Thanks and hopefully speak to you soon, Kelly xx

Ok. so I have got all the paperwork from David and am going to scout the city centre for as suitable venue this weekend. Am hoping to have us up and running by the middle to the end of September (or before depending on how fast the venues are at getting back to us). Hope that some of you out there are still interested. Will keep you all posted. Kelly xx

Hello
Just wondered if you’d had a group together with a venue yet? Keen to join if that is the case…

Hi i’m in West end of Glasgow and would love to join your BSC. Have you heard from venues yet? When are you hoping to start? The Annex in Partick or the Partick Burgh hall might be good option as they already have Quilter’s guild group once a month and they are close to Buses trains & underground. There is a sewing meet-up in the Life Craft on great Western Road every Wednesday evening after 6.00 and they may perhaps welcome a group such as BSC? C.

Have you tried the Burdastyle Club site to contact the group in Glasgow? Just go here and look for your group.
Good luck and happy sewing!

OK Lovely Peeps, After a couple of month’s delay due to all sorts of spanners in the works the Glasgow BSC will be on Monday 15th November from 6pm till 8pm in Make It Glasgow, which is the new sewing cafe run by the lovely Ashley in Osbourne Street. It is very central to town and, best of all, they have 6 machines, dressforms and a cutting table which people can hire on the night if they want to do some sewing while they are there. There will also be coffee, tea and cake available on the night.
We also have a dedicated Facebook page (Bsc Glasgow – add us as a friend for updates) and you can leave us a message there or mail us via: burdastyleglasgow@hotmail.co.uk
The link is: http://www.makeitglasgow.co.uk/Looking forward to meeting you all. Kelly & Amy xx
