Burda Style For people who sew

I am brand new and when setting up my profile page, I can not figure out how to find my Etsy user id. I try following your directions but they don’t help… I’m puzzled… Is this a number, or what?

Also, is the reason that my Etsy link (in the resources area) of my first project won’t work… because of not having the user id filled in yet?

  Hi Sallye May,

  Etsy recently changed their site design, making it a bit more challenging to find your User ID. In order to find your User ID, go to the front end of your profile page (the page that everyone can see). On the right hand side you will see a box that says “[Your Username]’s Info]” within that box you will see your User ID.

    Hi David,

    I too am having difficulty locating my user id. I followed your instructions an I’m still unsuccessful. I don’t see any numbers on my profile page, only my user name. In the box I believe you are referring to just says bio. Am in looking in the wrong place?

  Hi Abbey,

  I apologize for the delayed reply.

  In order to locate your Etsy ID, please do the following:

  On your shop page, go to scroll down to the “Actions” category on the left hand side. Click “See who favorites this” Copy and paste the 7-digit number at the end of the page URL. That is your ID number.

  I went to my shop page and scrolled/hovered over “request custom item.” In the lower left hand corner, there is a URL with a number in it.

  For example, mine came up as http://www.etsy.com/conversations/new?with_id=8837219&subject=Custom+Item+Request. So my id number is 8837219.

  So I know its been awhile since this was started, but I have tried all these things and can’t connect my etsy page to my Burda page…..Help!
