Hi everybody, Delores from Enfield in the U.K. I just came home from a 9 day Caribbean cruise and need to cheer myself up with something fresh and zingy. I am a ‘youthful’ 50 year old school teacher- any ideas?

Hi there. I have a niece and nephew living in Enfield. I just returned from a visit. I’m in Abbotsford B. C.
How about a lime green or neon yellow scarf to get going? Can you wear wrap pants and tops. There are some really neat ideas in the “how to” section.

Anyone from Vancouver or Lower Fraser Valley BC wanting to join or start a BSC? I know of one other lone soul in Victoria BC on Vancouver Island but that is not exactly in my back yard. I’m also not to sure of finding my way around these discussion groups and web sites. I refer to myself as a born again seamstress. No sewing for half a lifetime and I’m having a problem starting up. The only thing that is current is my fabric stash. I have enough on hand to stock a small shop.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of “Saint Distaff’s Day” or, aka, Distaff’s Day celebrated on January 7th. I came across this “day” as I was searching for holidays or special days for sewers about 6 months ago. Just curious as to know what does one do on this day? This link is one of many that I have come across-http://seventrees.blogspot.com/2009/01/st-distaffs-day-means-work-and-play.html Thank you in advance for answers. Keep Smilin’ from: I.S.
