In addition to not being able to get rid of the first window pop up as others have raised I’m also constantly getting a pop up asking if I should “stop running this script?” also saying its causing internet explorer to run slowly and if continued it may become unresponsive.
Additionally, after filling out the form to upload a project and clicking on finish, a pop up appears saying that I “must atleast select one project” and then doesn’t allow me to upload. I ensured I filled out every box with the red astrix so, I’m not sure what it means by one project.
I’m using I.E with windows vista. I suspect vista has something to do with it but anyhow, all the best to you guys n gals working on the de-bugging probs.

Downloaded firefox, it works fine with no probs. Also I’ve figured out my uploading project problem was related to the “Based on” option, which I thought I had to select because my project is based on a bag others have posted. I just deselected that option and was able to post. teheh.

Great! This is one to mark off my list! If you run in to any more problems please let me know. Happy sewing!

I also have major problems with that script. Using IE, but not Vista. No matter if I allow or dont allow the script it slows it down.

you can try downloading firefox, which I got the tip and the link from another thread in the debugging section. Yeh it seems many others are having the same problem :-( I think even a few with firefox, but you should try.
To: Sew4my3, one thing that didn’t go away with firefox though, is the pop up window that first comes up when you go to the site, despite clicking the “don’t show again” option. All the best..

looks like that pop up window isn’t popping up anymore. thanks.

I’m having this problem also, I have the script error popup so I click on stop running script, but the website is so slow and unresponsive and sometimes crashes altogether, It makes navigating the page so time consuming and difficult. I don’t want firefox, so can the technicians for this webpage isolate the bad script and sort it out? It will save a lot of people a lot of trouble. Even writing this post is difficult as I can’t see the words come up as I type them.
PS
I am on IE with windows Vista, I have used this combination for a long time and have never come up against this problem or any similar before.

It should be fixed now! Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello all with uploading problems !!
Today I finally uploaded my project – after trying since 22nd Sept. I read some advice on the site and omitted the part that asks if my project was based on a Burda Style idea ( which it is !! ) I however mentioned all this in the description to avoid any confusion. That was the only way that I could overcome the problems that I had. Others similarly affected might like to try it ?

Having said all that the other 5 photos that I uploaded are now gone – and they are a vital part of the description— also all description seems to have vanished too !! Am I going bonkers ??

Silly me — found it all — serves me right for not clicking on the actual project title — guess I am still learning. They say you learn something new every day !!

I can’t upload projects from IE. Whenever I get the REQUIRED drop down menus (garment type, materials, season, year, etc…) I can’t scroll down past these menues without the page going buggy. All the drop down menus follow me while I scroll and then the page loses functionality. I don’t know how to explain it better… I know nothing about IT. I don’t get a script error message though. It has nothing to do with “based on” option. I can’t even get that far down the page. This was happening when I tried to upload for the scarf dress competition. I had to get to my mac in a rush to upload in Safari. Does anyone know anything about this IE problem?

I just tried again…. everything goes to hell when I add a material. Nothing else works after that.

I’m having trouble when choosing the pattern that my project is based on. For example, when I type in Anda, different variations of it pop up to choose (in addition to several projects which are not based on it), but not the BurdaStyle actual pattern. I have tried typing in “anda” “anda #7969”, and “#7969” with no luck. I have tried it on Safari Firefox on a Mac OSX 10.4.11.

Hey Beastofcotton,
First off awesome shorts, ok now on to you comment.
Try typing it really slowly. Is that the only pattern that this happens with? if it is still happening i would either send me an email/reply or write in to answers and copy this conversation.

I tried entering several different patterns, and it looks like that is the only one which is having that problem. Typing in slowly doesn’t help.
