Recently, I’ve noticed that the pictures I upload sometimes get switched around between when I upload them and when I get to the project summary page. I usually put them in a specific order and it’s just kind of annoying when I don’t catch that they switched right away and I have to go back in and re-upload them. Also, I’ve noticed that the jpgs off my camera, when directly uploaded, if they are vertical, end up getting squished into the sizing for the horizontal ones. I end up having to open the pictures in Preview, resaving them as a jpg with another name and then reuploading. I guess for both of these issues I have work-arounds, but I thought I’d post to give feedback and see if others have similar issues. Thanks for listening!

I don’t seem to be able to view photos on certain blog entries e.g. Surf’s Up! surf inspired wear but also noticed that some articles from Editor’s Pick like DIY Your Swimwear don’t open at all- can someone fix it?

Hello — new bug: I uploaded a portrait photo, but the website seems to think it’s in landscape orientation, so the pictures are all squished looking.

Hi joclin,
There’re a couple reasons this may be happening. First, be sure that the image is of the minimum size requirement (615 pixels wide) and in a png, gif, or jpg format. If it’s too small, the site will stretch it to fit.
If you’re still getting this issue, please report it on our Support Page where you can see if anyone else has reported the same issue.

It you haven’t figured this out yet, it happens to me frequently. It usually happens with my photos fresh off the camera. I have to open them in Preview (on my mac) and then resave them as a jpg under a new name. Then they will post correctly. Annoying, I know :(

I’m noticing that the pictures aren’t loading at all when I click on thumbnails. There’s just the loading symbol. I sent a link to a friend of mine to show her one of the projects, but she got the same problem.

Hi there, for 3 days now I have not been able to see any of the projects’ photos when I go to each project page, it looks like the pics are being loaded, but they never finish loading… this is discouraging, as I can only look at the tiny image on the site’s general project pages :(

My sister noticed that if you click “View All” on projects with multiple photos, they will load. That’s the temporary fix I’m going to use, instead of the hassle of changing my whole browser. Of course, this won’t work on Projects with only one photo, though. Oh well.

I noticed this too, but of course it doesn’t work if there is only one pic for a project. Hope it is fixed soon!

Looks like the problem is just happening with new projects… all the older ones I looked up seem to load just fine. Weird.

I’m having the problem mentioned above – that once I have selected a photo on my computer by browsing to add to a project the orientation gets mixed up. BurdaStyle changes it from portrait to landscape. PLUS they are all squished up and I look like an OompaLoompa! NOT GOOD! I’m using Firefox on a PC.

The same problem is occurring to me too! I uploaded my project this morning, but it has gone somewhere!
Sep 29, 2011, 06.57 AMby ajtak7171
Same here. It is very strange, it re-appeared at some point in the projects page, now it’s gone again, from everywhere, the projects page and my studio… hm. Is someone from the website reading this?
Sep 29, 2011, 07.54 AMby tricksy
Same here – I uploaded a new project on Tuesday and yesterday it vanished and hasn’t reappeared. My studio still says I have 7 projects, but only shows 6 when I click “view all”. Tried viewing in Firefox and Safari, but it doesn’t show up on either.
Sep 29, 2011, 10.10 AMby tricksy
Try going directly to your project’s url and then clicking edit, and resaving it. I did this now on my missing project, and it seems to have reappeared. Lets hope it stays put this time!

Yes, I’ve noticed the same thing happening. I have been lazily refreshing the projects page every once and a while this morning, and after each refresh I have noticed some projects to have mysteriously disappeared. At first I thought the people might have removed their projects themselves, but now it doesn’t seem so. I hope the issue will be fixed soon!
